Archive Classics #1

by Simon Hilton on Wed 14 Mar 2007

Fellow blogsters… in light of the white noise currrently pervading the paradigm of the popular music charts, the time has come to recommend revisiting the revelations of yesteryear.
The current cult classic wearing itself thin under the needle of the old wind-up funny-action gramophone at Café Del Nightmare Towers is none other than Bernie Taupin, Gus Dudgeon and Reg Dwight’s all time exquisite masterpiece Tumbleweed Connection.
Now available remastered in surround sound SACD format.
Phew! Thank god for original-sounding songsmiths at the peak of their profession.
37 years young; still sounding so surprisingly sweet, strong and inspired.
