The closing sequence of Antonioni’s 1970 cult countercultural film, ‘Zabriskie Point’ – the death of the 60s hippie dream in cathartic climaxes of consumerism set to the music of Pink Floyd.
Recently ripped-off to advertise insurance on TV.
An onion of irony.
The philosopher Michel Foucault called his 1975 acid trip at (the geographic location) Zabriskie Point the greatest experience of his life. You can see why.
