I see what you’re saying, and obviously this life and these thoughts are unique. Just as the Mona Lisa is unique. You could try and reconstruct it, but why would you? There are so many other paintings to paint. I guess I enjoy the evidence that consciousness (or painting) continues more than the evidence it doesn’t.

Unlikely the same cocktail of components could make up your exact constellation of consciousness again. That would be like shredding the Mona Lisa, dropping it out of a plane into the winds and hoping it will all perfectly reassemble every exact molecule of itself at the bottom of a broom cupboard in department store in Edgebaston.

Saw Toy Story 3 in 3D yesterday – and saw Avatar before that. Probably won't be seeing another 3D again. Unless you script and shoot deliberately for 3D, the disadvantages (heavy glasses, headaches, post-film disorientation etc) outweigh the effects. A thumbs down from this family.

Saw it today. Amazing. Astronauts, stars, galaxies literally hanging in front of your face.
During the fly-through to the Orion Nebula I nearly had heart failure.
